"Perseverance
and Progress"
A Message from the President
To all of our loyal supporters who continue
sacrificing and pledging your resources to bring about justice and
equality for all of mankind, regardless of race, creed or color, I greet
and welcome you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ.
Through
your efforts and hard work, you have made a difference in race relations,
equal opportunity for all people and dismantling discrimination on all
levels in our society. We have chartered and established a course
for all to come to know that the NAACP is not a Black or a White
organization not rich or poor, but a people organization.
The East
St. Louis National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has
made a difference in our community. I pray that we stay the course
and reap the newness of a better society.
Reverend
Johnny Scott, President
East St. Louis,
St. Clair County, Illinois Chapter NAACP
